A Documentary on How the Outstanding Spiritual Leader
Transformed to a Political Leader
Letter of
Thanks to all friends from Chinese overseas democratic movement groups
Dear Friends:
With the severe winter passing by, Washington DC sees the blooming oriental
cherry bringing spring. In such a beautiful season, I, together with all my
Zhong Gong members, am writing to express our best wishes and sincere gratitude
to all of the friends from Chinese overseas democratic movement groups!
When I lost freedom in prison of Guam and when Zhong Gong members were being
cruelly persecuted by Jiang Ze Min’s administration, overseas Chinese democratic
movement groups came to unprecedented common recognition and unity to initiate a
general mobilization to support us by standing out and upholding justice. From
Washington to Guam, from North America to Europe, they successfully organized
and mobilized overseas Chinese and all sorts of political strength to develop a
large-scaled rescuing campaign, by which they were showing the world their
ability, wisdom and breath of mind, suggesting a new state and strength of
overseas Chinese democratic movement.
I will never forget:
It is Mr. Lu Si Qing from Chinese Human Rights and Democratic Movement
Information Center who took the lead in exposing to the world Jiang Ze Min’s
administration’s persecution on Zhong Gong. Besides, he has been tracing the
issue all the way down, personally written many articles of appealing and
continuously online reported the latest news to the world to give us his best
support in publicity.
I will never forget:
Mr. Lian Sheng De initiated the “Global Alliance of Supporting Rescue of Zhang
Hong Bao”, and successfully organized large-scaled canvassing and protesting in
capital hill of the Congress, promoting representatives from both the Senate and
the House to urge the US government to return my freedom.
I will never forget:
Mr. Wang Xi Zhe, Wang Bing Zhang, Wang Mian, Tim, Yue Wu, Xiang Lin, Tian Zhong
have been to Guam to see me. Among them, Mr. Wang Bing Zhang, Yue Wu and Xiang
Lin have been to Guam many times and carried out supporting works there for long
time. They set up “Alliance of Supporting Rescue of Zhang Hong Bao in Guam”,
mobilized and organized about 150 Chinese to demonstrate. They also succeeded in
canvassing the legislature of Guam to pass the bill of requiring release of
Zhang Hong Bao. They have earned full support from Governor of Guam. All in all,
they have marked a first page of overseas Chinese’ fighting for human rights in
the history of Guam.
I will never forget:
Ms Tina, Sun Bin, Chen Tie Mei, Gong Ying Wu, Huang Guo Hua and Xiao Tong of
Guam kept working day and night. I will never forget every single dish, every
bottle of water that sister Qiao and other Chinese in Guam delivered to me in
prison as well as the deep feeling of compatriots.
I will never forget:
Mr. Zhou Xiao has written to or called the US president many times. He also
initiated a letter jointly signed by one hundred people, calling on all
democratic movement groups to join immediately in supporting Zhong Gong.
I will never forget:
Friends like Zhou Xiao, Chen Zhou, Hu Ping, Cao Chang Qing, Ku Bo, Liu Xiao Bo
and Qi Mo wrote articles to fight CPC back against their framing up and defaming
of me, having justice upheld and relieving me from loneliness.
I will never forget
The strong support from all democratic movement groups including Free China
movement, Chinese Democratic Party Union Headquarters, Overseas Democratic
Movement Joint Conference, Democratic Movement United Front, Liberty and
Democracy Party, Chinese Democratic Party Temporary Committee and Chinese
Democracy Front, as well as Political Asylee American Associate West.
I will never forget:
“China Watch” --- sponsored by Mr. Lu Si Qing, and “Da Can Kao” --- sponsored by
Mr. Li Hong Kuan have published plenty of reports regarding my case over long
period of time. And, “Voice of Overseas Chinese” in France and in Germany ---
sponsored by Mr. Qi Mo, as well as “China Spring”, “Press Freedom Guidance”,
“Beijing Spring”, have given me support from publicity.
I will never forget:
In the US, Mr. Hong Da is the first one among friends who have helped Zhong Gong
and myself. He has made great effort in helping me obtain the “Anti-maltreatment
Protection” and “Relief from deportation”.
I will never forget:
Mr. Wei Jing Sheng has helped Zhong Gong and myself in many ways.
I will never forget:
Mr. Ye Ning offered me a lot of practical and effective supports in many areas
especially law.
I will never forget:
Many friends like Liu Bin Yan, Wang Dan, Wang Jun Tao, Lin Jiao Qing, Liu Qing,
Zhang Ying, Qi Mo, Zhou Jian He, Peng Ming, and Shi Lei have given me spiritual
inspiration and consolation.
I will never forget:
Many friends of whom I can’t list out names have given us important help in
assisting Zhong Gong members to translate materials from Chinese, English,
French, and German, as well as in law inquiry.
Calamity is the touchstone of man. Hereby, I, on behalf of all Zhong Gong
members, again express our deep gratitude to all of our friends from overseas
Chinese democratic movement groups! And please forgive me for possible
oversight.
There is still a long way for us to go. In future, I would like to work side by
side with all friends from overseas democratic movement to make joints efforts
for our country, for our nation, and for the peace and progress of the world.
