the Appeal Board of US INS Made Final Decision Zhong Gong's Founder Was Eligible
for Asylum
World Journals, Hong Kong, June 14 --- Hong Kong Information Center of Human
Rights and Democratic Movement reported today that Zhang Hongbao obtained
political asylum from US government on June 13. Zhang Hong is the founder of "Zhong
Gong", who was denied the application for asylum by the Immigration Court in
Guam last September.
The Information Center reported that INS Appeal Board pronounced Zhang Hongbao
was
eligible for political asylum based on the evidences provided by him. The Board
considers
that made-up evidences by the Chinese Communist government against Zhang Hongbao
were irrational.
Zhang Hongbao founded "Zhong Gong" in 1987, which had once possessed 38 million
followers. In 1990, the Chinese Communist government considered "Zhong Gong"
would menace its power, which forced Zhang Hongbao escaped China in 1994.
