The Hong Kong-based China Information Center of Human Rights and Democracy
Movement released the news on Thursday that Qi Gong could be defined as an evil
heresy by the higher levels of the Chinese government without official
announcement, but will not be suppressed publicly. Besides, students who
practice Qi Gong in Fujian, Hunan, Shandong, Guandong provinces, said that the
Chinese government is adopting the same strategy as its investigation on Falun
Gong, and is rigorously interrogating Qi Gong students. It is said that more
than 100 students in Shenzhen alone have been interrogated.
It is known that Mr.Zhang Hongbao, founder of Zhong-Gong, has received the
status of “protection from abuse” in Guam, USA, and is allowed to stay in
America. But the US Immigration Bureau has not released him yet.
