Stop CCP’s Political Persecution that has been Escalating
-----An Open Letter to UN Human Rights Committee
To Whom It May Concern:
Dear fellow human beings in UN Human Rights Committee,
Right at this time when UN Human Rights Committee is at its 60th Convention, we can’t help feeling greatly angered and frustrated at China’s human rights state. Obviously, even though the new leader in China has been in the office, but a change in the faces hasn’t changed the policies in poor human rights condition and actually has gotten worse, considering China is actually still under the dictatorship of Jiang Zemin.
The old debt of “June Fourth Massacre” remains reeking of blood and the enlightened persons who advised on rehabilitating “June Fourth” student movement participants are being persecuted again, so are the “Mothers of June Fourth”. And the persecution on religious people, political dissidents, Fa Lun Gong and Zhonggong followers have become worse.
Now, Jiang Zemin dictatorship is not only continuing its persecution on Zhonggong and CSG and Mr. Zhang Hongbao, but is getting worse.
Not long ago, CCP arrested Li Guoyou, who was passing on the leaflets of “Eight Motions on Amending the Constitution”, the document CSG addressed CCP new ruling group and sent him to labor camp; they arrested Cheng Yaqin who is an important cadre of Zhonggong, then sent her to labor camp. After she finished the sentence, she was still put under house arrest and the persecution has increased: she is under direct control of the provincial police; her ID card and passport were taken away; her phone is bugged and she is not allowed to go on the internet. What’s more, every day a police officer is sent over to check if she is at home and seeing anybody…
In the early stage of their persecution onto Zhonggong, they arrested large number of Zhonggong cadres and jailed them. Some of them are thrown into the institutions that force drug addicts to quit drugs.
Since they closed down all Zhonggong’s businesses, over 100,000 Zhonggong cadres and employees were forced out of jobs and have been struggling to survive. What’s more, the Zhonggong members who were released from jails found it particularly difficult to find a job or run a business, let alone the government should have helped them to find jobs. They put the difficulties on the way to find a job. They wouldn’t give permission to Zhonggong students who applied for owning a business; they would go to the companies that Zhonggong students work in and inquire about Zhonggong students and demand the employers not to put Zhonggong students on important posts. Even now, a lot of Zhonggong members are still under supervision, are followed whenever they are out, are inquired rudely and live a life without peace.
Jiang Zemin’s evil dictatorship’s persecution on Mr. Zhang Hongbao is witnessed by many, yet it’s hard for people to imagine. They produced false evidences to block Mr. Zhang’s application for political asylum and tried to have him extradited. When that failed and Mr. Zhang obtained his political asylum, their methods in persecuting him became even more evil. They adopted a new scheme, “to use people by the side of him to kill him”, to incite Zhang Hongbao’s working crew to defect, and engineered a chain of cases, not only aimed at wearing Mr. Zhang out, and ruining Zhang’s reputation, but maliciously trying to manipulate US laws to heavily condemn Mr. Zhang and have him extradited and execute him in China. Mr. Zhang is still deeply buried in the chain cases CCP fabricated. Recently, CCP is mobilizing more resources to design new false evidences to make the whole thing even more ridiculous and complicated.
As a matter of fact, cases concerning Mr. Zhang are a huge cross-century political persecution case that Jiang Zeming dictatorship’s engineered. This huge cross-century political persecution case only proves that Jiang Zeming dictatorship is extremely evil and Jiang Z
eming and CCP dictatorship are the evil source for blocking China toward democracy and the rule of laws.
Here, we strongly appeal to UN Human Rights Committee and human rights organizations and activists all over the world, to pay close attention to the development and escalation of this cross-century political persecution case onto Mr. Zhang Hongbao, and to pay close attention to the malign development of Chinese human rights condition; we strongly appeal to all the governments that hold justice high and respect human rights, to all the organizations and people who believe in democracy and freedom and are active in promoting human rights: at this time of the United Nations Day of Human Rights, exert pressure to Chinese government from all aspects, to force Chinese government to release all political and conscience prisoners, release all prisoners of beliefs and Qi Gong practice, and stop persecuting all political dissidents, religious people, Fa Lun Gong members and Zhonggong members, in any form.
This world belongs to the world people and China belongs to Chinese people. Human rights are in-born, not granted by any dictators or dictatorships. All the people in the world who love peace, democracy, freedom should rise up and unite, to sweep all the evil dictatorships into the trash bin of History. This way, in-born human rights can be really returned to people.
