It is People’s Wish
----Open Letter from IZGH to Wu Bangguo director and all the representatives of National People’s Assembly
At this time when the 14th meeting of National People’s Assembly Committee is to be held on Feb. 25th and the 3rd meeting of National People’s Assembly is to be held on March 5th in Beijing, we openly write to the Committee director Wu Bangguo and all the representatives of National People’s Assembly, requesting the meetings to meet historical trends and people’s wishes to urge Jiang to hand over the powers, to retreat as a whole person.
In the past two years, Jiang Zemin gave up 3 of all 9 highest posts in Chinese political system: CCP Central Secretary-in-general, Chairman of PRC and CCP Central Military Committee Chairman. Yet, people’s eyes are looking at the 6 key posts that Jiang Zemin are still holding onto which are extremely critical in controlling China’s fate: 1. The first political committee member of Zhongnanhai guarding troop (in charge of protecting the lives of the national leaders and their families). 2. Anti-Taiwan-independence and anti-foreign military interference headquarters. 3. General director of national war preparation group. 4. Central Policy group. 5. Central School of Party Cadre Training. 6. Central diplomacy group. In another word, Jiang Zemin is still No. 1 in controlling Central CCP “policies, decisions” in matters of national war, diplomacy, Taiwan issue, etc.
Think about it, Jiang Zemin is not even a CCP Central Committee member, how can he be qualified to make all the critical decisions concerning all the five key departments? What kind of system is that? From any angle to look at it, Jiang Zemin should resign from all the posts that he is currently holding. CCP power relay should be done according to the rule which will be historical progress, at the same time will be meeting people’s will.
There is this ancient saying, “The one who is pointed at by thousands of people angrily, will die even without a disease.” We hope Jiang Zemin will understand the whole picture, and stop his ruthless controlling urge and resign from all the current posts, otherwise he will become the barrier for China’s reformation; if Jiang Zemin is totally lost in his controlling dream, and refuse to hand over all the posts, it simply means the campaign to denounce Jiang Zemin’s reactionary behaviors will start. What is waiting for him is going to be the merciless trial by history. He will be just like the notorious historical clown Yuan Shikai to be stapled onto the historical column of shame in Chinese history!
Here, we’d like to remind Wu Bangguo director and all the representatives of National People’s Assembly: for the sake of Chinese people’s future and interests, for the world peace and tranquility, please effectively practice the power given by Chinese people, to urge Jiang Zemin to give up all the titles to avoid future problems.
History will write down honestly your act of justice!
