PLA Has No Strength to Invade Taiwan

The recent secret report by the US Department of Defense on “China’s Fall Military Maneuver,” which was out of date, fully revealed the information on the insufficient military equipments and lack of intensive training, because the Chinese Liberation Army did not have sufficient military expense. It was believed that, for the first time this year, our Military Department obtained the electronic monitoring data of the Military Zone in Nanjin provided by the United States. At the military meeting on the morning of 27th, the General Commander of Air Force, Chen Shaomin reported much of the data to President Chen Shuibian.

According to the information from the senior officers of the Department of Defense, the US electronic spy plane, for three months in a row, made electronic spying along the seashore in Southeast China. The data did indicate that the Chinese Liberation Army was “lack of sufficient transportation tools” and ‘the military training was simplified.”

First, in the fall military maneuver, during the fight for air controlling, the Chinese Liberation Army especially practiced the “tricky skills” to attack National army’s E-2T Alarming Plane. However, during the maneuver, their ground radar frequently was unable to control and conduct. After further confirmation, the American Army discovered the reason of the Liberation Army’s problem of “disconnection,” which was that they were afraid that the US Army or National Army’s electronic spying station would have recorded the whole maneuver process via radio frequency.

Due to the consideration of secrecy, when the military planes and navy vessels of the Chinese Army were having practical training, they would go off the right track due to weak radio wave frequency.

Once, after the Fighter 8 of the Navy took off at Luqiao, it attempted to stop the National army’s phantom fighter coming from Xinzhu, Taiwan. It was flying south at a super speed at a high altitude of 30,000 meters. As it was about to surpass the centerline, the ground control members of the Liberation Army emergently called the Fighter 8 through radio frequency, “Make a right turn of 240 and come back immediately!” Nevertheless, those pilots who drove the old-style fighter 7 reflected “obvious war seeking purpose and challenge actions,” because the fighter planes were equipped with simple aero-electric system.

It was reported by the American army that several Chinese submarines, which the Liberation Army were proud of, had problems for several times. They worried that the US spying satellite would obtain the important data, thereafter, they did not make use of several new missiles, including 093 nuclear-powered submarine, nor did they dare to open the new radar, because they feared that the Americans would spy and monitor them, and then reveal to the public.

There was a strange scene during this military maneuver. Many Navy vessels of the Liberation Army received orders to try best to salvage as many sono-buoys as possible, which were thrown into the sea by Taiwan and US planes. In order to prevent the gun discharge while the soldiers were cleaning their rifles, the East Sea Fleet made special orders that its soldiers were not allowed to exceed the middle line of the Straits. This was similar with Taiwan.

The military senior officers also pointed out that, at the military meeting, we should report generally to the President on technical and professional information. The Liberation Army did have a lot of weak points, however, many problems also remain within the National army. Most importantly, we must report to President Chen Shibian, the Marshall of Navy, Army and Air Force, that everyone has to be on alert. Never before could we be intoxicated with self-satisfaction due to the Liberation Army’s incapability to attack Taiwan.
