reporter Zhang Zheng reported on September 18: following the arrests of
Zhonggong followers in Hunan, Hubei, Neimeng in July and August by Chinese
National security and police, recently the police arrested over 100 Zhonggong
followers in Xinjiang and about 6 Zhonggong followers in Heilongjiang.
Zhonggong was founded in 1987 by Zhang Hongbao and soon was spread to all over
China. Zhonggong set up over 3000 enterprises and had over 38 million followers.
In 1999, Zhonggong was suppressed by CCP at the full scale: closing down all the
offices, confiscating 810 million Chinese Yuan worth of properties, arresting
about a thousand Zhonggong followers and four of them were sentenced to jail for
2 to 4 years for “subversion of national sovereignty”. The founder Zhang Hongbao
was forced into exile in USA in January 2000 and he is still being persecuted by
CCP.
