Strongly Demand National People’s Assembly to Urge Jiang Zemin to Hand over the Power
----an Open Letter to PRC National People’s Assembly from the World Chinese Federation
National People’s Assembly is open soon, and all the Chinese in the world are very concerned if this Assembly will reflect the will of Chinese people inside or outside of China. We strongly demand National People’s Assembly to practice its power, and to force Jiang Zemin to give up his powers completely.
On Sept. 9th, 2004, Jiang Zemin resigned from the post of CCP Central Military Committee, but he still holds onto the post of National Military Committee. From some outward signals, Jiang’s men are trying to amend the Chinese Constitution to realize the father-son-succession system and to keep Jiang as the leader of the country.
After Jiang Zemin retired, he had quietly changed the Party-Administration-Military power structure of China into a new structure of 5 “leaders group”, with himself as the heads of them all. They are: Central Policy Group, Central Diplomacy Group, National War Preparation Group, Anti-Taiwan-Independence and Anti-foreign Military Interference Headquarters, the First Political Committee Member of Zhongnanhai Guarding Troop. These “leaders groups” sound like just small groups, but they are actually at the core of national power. They are not limited by age, and they are controlling everything beyond law. This is actually the way Jiang Zemin stealing the powers of the Party, the Administration and the Military.
It is high time that Jiang hands over the powers, but he still clings firmly onto them. This is to completely ignore Chinese Constitution and people’s interests. He is only interested in realizing his personal political ambition, and he is tricking the Chinese people and the whole world. This is just like the historical regression caused by Yuan Shikai who stole the fruit of democratic movement and crowned himself. This is the sad page of Chinese history!
National People’s Assembly has the full power to stop Jiang Zemin from his schemes, and remove Jiang from the set of groups he set up. All the Chinese in the world are scraping their eyes to watch carefully, to see if National People’s Assembly will practice the power Chinese people granted to it. If it doesn’t, we will mobilize all the Chinese in the world to denounce Jiang Zemin, just like the way the people denouncing Yuan Shikai!
